MCW - Oscars
Welcome to another edition of Movie Clip Wednesday.
For this weeks clip, I choose what will look like an easy and predictable choice.
It is.
But yet it wasn't.
Anyone who knows me even just a bit knows that "Gone With the Wind" is in my top 3 movies of all time.
It has everything.
Drama.
Romance.
Intrigue.
Violence.
Betrayal.
Love.
It's also 4+ hours long.
Anyway, I couldn't find a decent clip of what I wanted, so I'm posting this trailer.
Enjoy ....
Have I mentioned that to me, Scarlett O'Hara embodies the true ideals of feminism?
Oh yeah.
The woman you love to hate, and can't help rooting for.
Perfection!

"As God as my witness..." I loved this movie and love the fact that you posted the trailer. I actually plan to have a whole Wednesday devoted to trailers after seeing this.
A classic and I agree about Scarlet... she was all woman.
*sigh*
Thanks for playing! great pick.
Never seen it. Sorry.
I've only seen parts of the movie. I'm sure I'd enjoy it now more-so than when I was younger....
Scarlet,
Any idea how much money GWTW would have made in this market? It was the number 1 movie for years. I'm curious as to how it stacks up with regards to inflation and today's prices. Happy MCW.
Boxer: Like I said, it was a predictable pick. However, this movie shaped a lot of who I am, and qualities that I admire.
She's ruthless, fearless and heartless, but under it all, she still has the capacity to love and feel.
She never waited for anyone, man or woman to "save" her .... she just rolled up her sleeves and did what needed to be done.
Oh yeah ... I have much Scarlett O'Hara envy! lol
Heff: You should just suck it up and watch it. If for no other reason, to see Vivien Leigh ... a stunning raven haired beauty! :D
Savage: You too hot legs!
I think you really would enjoy it.
MRM: OMG! I can't even imagine how much $$ this movie would make in today's market! Good god!
It would certainly break all kinds of records i;m sure!
Good afternoon Blazing Scarlet,
A good flick, although I've never seen it all the way through.
One of my all-time favourites! Go Scarlett!
Lawzy, we got to have a doctor. I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' babies.
I think Hattie McDaniel was the underlying star of this film.
Happy MCW!
Great movie
Not enough sex but I didn't give a damn :P
